Organic Camphor essential oil is obtained from the crushed wood or leaves of the Camphor tree (Cinnamomum camphora) through steam distillation. From this "raw oil," crystalline camphor is separated from the liquid base. The remaining oil is distilled in fractions.

Organic camphor essential oil is a colorless liquid that is easy to use. It has a strong and spicy aroma, accompanied by notes of eucalyptus. The main components are 1,8-cineole, pinene, and limonene. In smaller concentrations, camphor, geraniol, farnesol, and linalool can be found.

The constituents of organic camphor essential oil also have medicinal characteristics. Since ancient times, camphor essential oil has been used in various fields. Camphor and organic camphor essential oil were often utilized in traditional Chinese medicine. Its application can be through inhalation, massage, or bath oil.

In aromatherapy, organic camphor essential oil is used in scented candles and in small amounts in massage oils.

Organic camphor essential oil is rarely used in cosmetics due to its characteristic "medicinal" aroma. It is suitable for blends with bergamot, cassia, mandarin, myrtle, orange, rosemary, and sage.
