Its main aromatic components include α-pinene (22-45%), D-limonene (6-22%), para-cymene (5-12%), and d-3-carene (13-25%). A 2015 study conducted in Taiwan demonstrated that D-limonene found in the chemical structure of certain essential oils, including Frankincense, exhibits strong antioxidant properties and contributes to reducing cardiovascular diseases and improving sleep quality.
