Thuja, or Arborvitae, scientifically known as Thuja occidentalis, is an evergreen coniferous tree from the cypress family, native to eastern Canada and much of northern, central, and northeastern America, widely cultivated as an ornamental plant.

The essential oil of Thuja occidentalis is extracted from the tree's branches and has a sweet and aromatic scent. Its main chemical components include ketones: thujone (45-65%) and fenchone (10-15%).

Historically, its therapeutic properties were known, and it was used by Native Americans to treat insomnia, gout, colds, dandruff, and eczema.

Usage Methods:

• Psoriasis: Mix 10 drops of thuja essential oil in 100ml of oregano oil and apply locally to affected areas 2-3 times a day.

Thuja essential oil combines well with: Cypress, Cedar, Juniper, Pine, Sandalwood, and Orange.
