This bombilla straw features a spoon-like tip that works beautifully. Bombillas are primarily used for drinking yerba mate, but they can also be used with other teas!
How to Prepare Yerba Mate Tea with a Bombilla Straw:
- Fill the container about halfway.
- Cover the top of the cup with your palm, turn it upside down 180º, and gently shake up and down to bring the fine leaves to the top, allowing the larger leaves to settle below and act as a natural filter.
- Slowly return the cup to a 45° angle and pour in slightly cold or room temperature water to help protect the essential nutrients of the herb from the hot water for about 1 minute.
- Insert the bombilla directly into the empty space.
The packaging also includes a cleaning kit for the interior of the straw, making cleaning even easier!
