Argan Oil (Argania Spinosa) is one of the best oils for the care and hydration of the face and neck, suitable for all skin types. The tree that produces it has remained unchanged for the last 1.6 million years and thrives only in a few regions in southeastern Morocco, making it a true "treasure" for the local economy. The Argan tree is protected by UNESCO as a world cultural heritage, as its native area, which once covered all of North Africa, is continually shrinking. Argan oil is considered one of the rarest (and most expensive) oils, requiring the processing of 100 kg of dried fruits (from 6-8 trees) and 8-10 hours of hard work to produce 1 to 1.2 liters of oil. All stages of this labor are carried out by a cooperative of Moroccan women who have passed down the processing method from generation to generation, preserving the technique to this day.
Modern long-term studies have revealed the beneficial components of Argan oil for the human body: it contains 80% monounsaturated and polyunsaturated fatty acids, omega-9 and 6, as well as a significant amount of linoleic acid, an unsaturated fatty acid that acts as a waterproofing agent for the skin, creating a protective barrier and maintaining elasticity. This is why it is considered one of the best oils for combating psoriasis. It also contains carotenoids, terpenoids, polyphenols, and tocopherols—all powerful antioxidants against free radicals responsible for skin aging. Thanks to its high vitamin E content, Argan oil is the most moisturizing, nourishing, anti-wrinkle, and anti-aging oil available. It is ideal for brittle and damaged nails, as well as for hair that has lost its shine or suffers from dandruff. The palmitic, stearic, oleic acids, and phytosterols in Argan have anti-inflammatory properties and repair effects on skin tissue.
