Arnica Oil (Arnica montana) is produced using extra virgin olive oil processed with our herbs in their fresh form. Research has shown that when base oils are made with fresh herbs (like ours), they deliver 100% of their potential benefits, unlike commercial oils made from dried herbs, which yield only about 50%!

Arnica Oil comes from the processing of the Arnica montana plant, which is endemic to Europe and is distinguished by its large yellow flowers. This medicinal plant has a long history of use in Europe. References to the healing properties of Arnica are noted by many modern herbalists (Matthiolus, Gesner, Clusius, etc.), and the well-known German philosopher Goethe claimed it saved his life.

Today, Arnica is used for the external treatment of the musculoskeletal system. It is considered suitable for treating wounds and swellings and for relieving pain. You will find arnica oil in many cosmetic products for the treatment of bruises, swelling, muscle pain, and rheumatic pain, among others.

Arnica is an ancient medicinal plant. It contains sesquiterpene lactones, known to reduce inflammation and alleviate pain, while Arnica Oil also facilitates blood circulation.

Cosmetic Application: Arnica Oil is popular in massage oils as it provides muscle relaxation due to its effects on the body's circulatory system, making it particularly favored by athletes. Its antibacterial and anti-inflammatory properties can benefit those suffering from inflammatory skin conditions. It is used as a topical treatment for burns, eczema, and acne. However, it should not be applied to open wounds, as it may cause painful irritation.

A study conducted in 2002 by Knuesel O, Weber M, and Suter A at the Valens Clinic for Rheumatism in Switzerland showed that the use of a 50% Arnica gel had similar effects to a 5% ibuprofen gel in relieving osteoarthritis pain.
