The Echinacea tincture is made by soaking the leaves and roots of Echinacea in an alcoholic solution (grappa) for a period of 4-6 weeks. During this time, the active ingredients dissolve into the alcoholic solution, resulting in the tincture.

The Echinacea Tincture (Echinacea purpurea) contains the same active ingredients as the dried Echinacea herb. The use of Echinacea is particularly widespread in modern herbal therapy.

Echinacea is primarily used to stimulate the body and strengthen the immune system. Clinical studies have shown that Echinacea can increase the number of white blood cells in the bloodstream. White blood cells are the body's main defense against pathogens that enter the human body. Although the beneficial effects of Echinacea are due to a combination of components in the plant, recent findings indicate that polysaccharides are largely responsible for activating the immune system. In Germany, both the aerial and underground parts of Echinacea purpurea are approved for treating colds.

Herbal tinctures retain all the active ingredients of the plant, are particularly easy to take, and are entirely natural. They undoubtedly surpass dietary supplements in pill form, as they contain no chemicals or preservatives and are absorbed much more effectively by the body.

Herbal tinctures are very potent and should be consumed according to the provided instructions. The usual dosage is 0.5-1ml (approximately 10-20 drops per day). It should not be consumed during pregnancy or breastfeeding.
