This cold-pressed organic hemp oil, derived from the seeds of the industrial hemp plant (Cannabis sativa), is considered one of the most historic and nutritionally valuable oils.
Organic hemp oil has a vibrant green-yellow color and a rich, characteristic flavor.
Organic hemp oil boasts a multitude of medicinal, nutritional, and cosmetic uses, making it a versatile product. It has a pleasant nutty flavor and a 3:1 ratio of omega-6 to omega-3 fatty acids, which is considered the perfect ratio for human health and is not found in any other oil. In addition to omega fatty acids, it contains antioxidants, proteins, carotene, phytosterols, phospholipids, and minerals such as calcium, magnesium, sulfur, potassium, iron, zinc, and phosphorus. It is a good source of protein and contains all 20 known amino acids, including the nine essential amino acids, as well as vitamins A, B1, B2, B3, B6, C, D, and E. Omega fatty acids are known for their role in preventing cardiovascular diseases, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, diabetes, arthritis, boosting the immune system, depression, neurological disorders, brain function, and more. Recently, studies have drawn scientific interest in the anticancer properties of the oil. It has a high content of polyunsaturated linolenic acid (alpha and gamma linolenic acid) and the rare stearidonic acid.
Organic hemp oil is widely used in cosmetics and body and hair care products, including creams, shampoos, and soaps. To improve your overall health, consume a teaspoon in the morning before breakfast and another at night before bed. Hemp oil is a valuable dietary oil but is not suitable for frying.
