Castor Oil (Ricinus Communis) is derived from the processing of the seeds (Castor Beans) of the plant. Traditionally used as a "medicinal" oil since ancient Egypt, it has remarkable properties.

Due to its low molecular weight, Castor Oil penetrates the skin effectively. In fact, it can pass through the stratum corneum, the outer layer of the skin that consists of dead cells, protecting tissues from infections and dehydration. The main component of Castor Oil, Ricinoleic Acid (up to 95%), has significant anti-inflammatory properties, as well as analgesic effects. Because of these characteristics, Castor Oil is considered ideal for deep cleansing and skin care. It is particularly suitable for acne and eczema, effectively cleansing sebum, softening hardened blemishes, and addressing pimples.

Rich in Omega-9 fatty acids, Castor Oil exhibits notable anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, making it increasingly popular in recent years for treating serious skin conditions, such as acne. Additionally, it is an excellent moisturizing product, as it helps "trap" moisture in the skin, preventing dehydration and premature aging.
