Cherry Kernel Oil (Cherry Kernel Oil) is obtained from the cold pressing of the seeds of the Prunus avium plant, commonly known as the sweet cherry tree.
Cherry Kernel Oil is thin, almost odorless, and particularly rich in linoleic (up to 48%) and oleic (up to 30%) acids, which are essential for maintaining the elasticity of the skin. It is also rich in vitamins A and E. Cherry Kernel Oil contains active substances such as tocopherols (alpha, delta, and gamma), which are associated with Vitamin E and serve as strong natural antioxidants (mainly a-Tocopherol).
Cherry Kernel Oil is a relatively "light" oil, which has a texture similar to Almond Oil and Peach Oil. However, Cherry Kernel Oil is absorbed very well by the skin, making it much superior to Almond Oil for skin hydration (and comparatively inferior as a massage oil).
The oil is derived through the cold pressing of the fruit's seeds. Native to the Mediterranean region, Asia, and subtropical areas of America, it exhibits exceptional emollient properties. Rich in unsaturated fatty acids like linoleic acid (Omega-6) and oleic acid (Omega-9), it provides nourishing properties, promotes collagen production, rejuvenates cells, and forms a protective hydro-lipid barrier on the skin and hair. It retains moisture and soothes dry, sensitive, and distressed skin. Additionally, it contains a-eleostearic acid, vitamins A and E, which help reduce the appearance of wrinkles and fine lines. It offers antioxidant benefits, protects against oxidative stress, and particularly soothes acne-prone skin. Due to its high content of phytosterols, cherry oil is involved in the skin healing process and soothes various skin conditions such as psoriasis, eczema, and irritation.
Recommended for general moisturizing applications for skin and hair, as well as for anti-inflammatory, antioxidant, astringent, and anti-aging products.
Due to its high absorbency, Cherry Kernel Oil is ideal as a moisturizing product. Use it alone, in combination with essential oils, or as an ingredient in your homemade cosmetics and soaps.
