Pure salep powder without additives. Salep is a beverage that calms the nerves, alleviates anxiety and fatigue, providing both well-being and alertness. It is rich in starch and mineral salts, such as phosphorus and calcium, thus energizing the whole body.
Salep is a valuable drink for those in recovery; when combined with spices (cinnamon, clove, ginger), it soothes the nerves, alleviates anxiety and fatigue, and appears to enhance its tonic and aphrodisiac properties.
It is an important remedy in combating gastrointestinal disorders and is known to help with "worms," a type of intestinal parasite that appears in children.
Dioscorides stated that salep has strong aphrodisiac properties, enhancing the sexuality of both men and women. In our folk tradition, it is referred to as the male herb.
