Thyme Oil, like all our carrier oils, is made with extra virgin olive oil processed with our fresh herbs. Research has shown that when carrier oils are made with fresh herbs (like ours), they deliver 100% of their potential properties, unlike commercial oils made with dried herbs that yield only about 50%!

Thyme Oil has strong antiseptic and antibacterial properties due to its content of thymol, the main ingredient in most modern mouthwashes. It is primarily used for the treatment of bruises, wounds, abrasions, swellings, and skin infections, as well as for massages in cases of musculoskeletal pain. In the case of skin conditions, thyme oil can be used for treating dermatological issues such as dermatitis, acne, eczema, and psoriasis. Historically, before the spread of modern antibiotics, thyme infusions were widely used to soak gauze and bandages.

For musculoskeletal pain, thyme oil is mainly used for massages to relieve arthritis pain and tension in muscles, including cervical syndrome pain. In recent years, thyme oil has started to be used by cosmetic companies to strengthen hair and as an ingredient in pharmaceutical products for treating nail fungal infections.

Thyme Oil can be used alone or in combination with other carrier oils for even better results. It’s also important to note that carrier oils are essential in aromatherapy as they serve as the "carrier" for essential oils.
