Zeolite was discovered in 1756 by Swedish mineralogist Axel Fredrik Cronstedt, who observed that this particular mineral exhibited immense water absorbency—indeed, upon rapid heating, zeolite released large amounts of steam from the water trapped inside.
Today, Zeolite has numerous applications. It is widely used for water purification, as a catalyst in the petrochemical industry, as a key ingredient in detergent manufacturing, and as an enhancer in the cultivation of specific plants, among others.
Clay has been known since antiquity for its cleansing properties. Thanks to its rich detoxifying and antibacterial qualities, it effectively removes all kinds of microorganisms that penetrate the skin's pores. By systematically removing all forms of pollutants and oxidizing molecules from the skin, we reduce the chances of premature cellular deterioration, absorbing everything that accumulates on the surface, which contributes to the dull, lifeless appearance of the skin.
Zeolite is extensively used today for detoxifying the body, as it is believed to aid in the absorption and elimination of heavy metals (lead, mercury, cadmium, arsenic, aluminum, tin), herbicides, pesticides, and toxins produced by the body itself.
